When using the Thesis Theme (versions 1.7, 1.8) in WordPress, to remove the header image that you’ve installed, select “Header Image” under the Thesis menu in the admin, and hovering the mouse over the image gives you the option to “Remove Image.”  Ah, one long run-on sentence and now back to the old text header.
